Commercial Solar Installation – Hunters Hill

This 23kW system, installed at a BP service station in Sydney’s west, demonstrates that solar is an excellent solution for businesses operating seven days a week, as service stations typically have sufficient roof space for systems that significantly reduce reliance on grid electricity during daylight hours.

MPV Solar recently completed a 100kW solar system installation in Mittagong, NSW, for the health industry, featuring 370 Jinko 270W PV panels and four SMA Sunny Tripower 25kW inverters; this system is expected to produce an average of 142,000 kilowatt-hours annually, saving the client around $15,000 per year, all with minimal disruption to residents and staff.

This project required innovative thinking; instead of utilising initially suitable sheds, we opted for a Solar Ground Mounted System near the main switchboard to address voltage rise issues, installing 40 x 250W panels totalling 10kW, which significantly reduced the client’s electricity bill.

Due to the Rydales Tavern’s high electricity demand, we proposed a 30kW solar installation, featuring two German-made SMA Tri-Power Inverters and non-penetrative clamps, expected to produce an average of 43,000 kWh annually and save the owners approximately $8,000 per year.
